"Journey through the Challenges of Muslim Women" is the author's discussion of a number of issues surrounding Muslim women, especially those used by those who wish to support Islam. These topics will be of benefit to all Muslim women. This book addresses many controversial areas such as domestic violence, circumcision, polygamy, and the failure to educate young girls. It also highlights the stark contradiction between Islamic teachings and current cultural practices. In the hadith, the Prophet (peace be upon him) described women as "a crooked rib," and this by no means reflects a desire to belittle women. On the contrary, this expression aims to urge men not to try to correct or "straighten" women by force but rather to accept them as Allah created them. This hadith also calls on men to follow the example of our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) in his behavior towards women, a behavior based on respect and compassion. The problem is not Islam, but rather the non-Islamic practices prevalent in many communities. This is a situation that must be addressed with great honesty.
